AlkebuLAN invests in building and rehabilitating schools, providing teaching materials, training teachers, and supporting digital classrooms to close the education gap.

Africa is blessed with abundant solar resources. AlkebuLAN’s solar initiatives deploy scalable off-grid and mini-grid systems to power schools, clinics, small businesses and agricultural irrigation systems. Solar electrification reduces energy costs, supports digital infrastructure, and helps communities leapfrog to clean energy solutions.

By combining rooftop solar, community solar farms and battery storage, our projects deliver reliable, low-cost power — enabling digital payments, mobile connectivity, and modern local economies.

Reliable access to clean water is critical for health and livelihoods. AlkebuLAN builds sustainable water systems including rainwater catchment tanks, sand dams, rehabilitated wells and protected springs. These interventions reduce water-borne diseases, free time for education and work, and support small-scale irrigation to improve food security.

Geothermal energy offers continuous, reliable power that is not weather dependent. AlkebuLAN supports geothermal exploration and development in high-potential areas, especially in East Africa’s Rift Valley. Geothermal power helps reduce reliance on diesel, lowers emissions, and provides stable electricity for industry and communities.

Strategic geothermal investments strengthen national grids and enable new industrial and technology hubs, helping local economies to scale sustainably.

Trees restore degraded land, capture carbon, protect watersheds, and provide food and income. AlkebuLAN support large-scale tree-planting and agroforestry projects that combine climate action with poverty reduction. Trees improve soil health, increase crop yields, and create a more resilient environment for communities.

Smallholder farmers are the backbone of Africa’s food system. AlkebuLAN’s agriculture programs focus on productivity, climate-smart techniques, market access, and value-chain development. We provide training, improved seed varieties, irrigation solutions and digital tools that connect farmers to buyers and fair prices.
